Senior Counsel, Regulatory & Development

The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel for Regulatory and Development to join their team. This business-critical role is focused on large-scale, multi-billion dollar transmission infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for legal matters related to the permitting and development of electric transmission infrastructure, with a specific emphasis on experience in this area. The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited law school, be licensed to practice law in New York, and have a strong background in legal experience related to transmission or energy infrastructure permitting and development. Experience working with New York State and Federal agencies, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the New York Public Service Commission, and the New York Independent System Operator, is essential. The role also requires expertise in Article VIII Applications and additional permitting processes as mandated by federal, state, and municipal authorities. The Senior Counsel will play a key role in navigating the complex regulatory landscape and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements for the successful execution of the company's large-scale transmission infrastructure projects.
