Vice President of Communications Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Communications to shape its corporate narrative and lead a dedicated communications function. The role will develop proactive messaging, grow earned media and analyst coverage, and build executive visibility and thought leadership across the organization. Responsibilities include identifying and coaching subject-matter experts, managing communications partners, and establishing media monitoring, reporting, and crisis-response systems. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to communicate complex issues clearly and consistently, while providing credible guidance during reputational challenges. Candidates should have 10 or more years of corporate and executive communications experience, including ownership of earned media, ideally in security, fintech, intelligence, or regulated technology. They should demonstrate success developing compelling narratives, securing quality coverage, and increasing share of voice, along with strong writing and editing skills. The role requires sophisticated understanding of AI and its implications, as well as practical fluency using AI to improve research, monitoring, drafting, and reporting workflows. Candidates should also be skilled at building functions and processes, coaching spokespeople, collaborating across teams, and exercising sound judgment in crisis situations.
