Vice President, Technology Risk Management (Data and App)

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Technology Risk Management with a focus on data and applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing independent oversight to ensure that data, application, and technology risks are effectively identified, assessed, and managed in compliance with regulatory and industry standards. This role is pivotal in the Second Line of Defence, and key responsibilities include overseeing data and application risk management, reviewing and challenging first-line risk assessments, and assessing compliance with data protection, privacy, and technology risk regulations. The VP will also be expected to conduct thematic reviews, advise on emerging risks, and report key risk issues to senior management and governance committees. Applicants must have 8-12 years' of experience in technology risk management, assurance, or audit, preferably within regulated or financial services environments. Strong expertise in data, application, technology, and AI risk management is essential, as is a proven track record in assessing controls across various risk management areas. Familiarity with industry frameworks such as MAS TRM, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and DAMA-DMBOK is required, along with a solid understanding of regulatory expectations related to data protection, privacy, and technology risk. The role demands strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to engage with senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning in the evolving risk landscape.
