Vice President, Investment Banking Legal and Capital Markets

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Investment Banking Legal and Capital Markets. The successful candidate will be involved in the full spectrum of investment banking transactions, from origination to execution. This includes structuring corporate transactions in capital markets deals, explaining proposed deals to clients, leading the drafting and review of contracts, and providing strategic and practical advice to both bankers and clients. The role also involves promoting collaboration with internal legal, compliance, and management departments, as well as planning and developing training opportunities for bankers. The ideal candidate will have a law-related degree, be fluent in Japanese, and have a business-level proficiency in English. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' practical experience in Japan's capital markets, with a background in handling transactions in investment banking or related areas. Essential skills include strong coordination and communication abilities with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as project management capabilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously. A law-related degree such as LLB, LLM, or JD is required, and experience at a domestic or international law firm is preferred.
