Head of Data Management, Data Platform Engineering

The Company is seeking a Head of Data Management for Data Platform Engineering. The successful candidate will be tasked with the design and development of a data platform that is pivotal in the early detection and prevention of medical conditions through the use of AI. This role is key in ensuring the secure accumulation of patient and medical imaging data from various medical institutions, with a focus on supporting both AI development and clinical applications. Responsibilities include the secure collection, storage, and management of data, as well as the design and optimization of data pipelines, databases, and cloud infrastructure. The Head of Data Management will also be instrumental in strengthening security measures, building a data governance framework, and developing a monitoring and CI/CD foundation. Applicants must have a strong background in data engineering, database design, and ETL development, with hands-on experience in SQL, data warehouses, and container operations. A deep understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is essential. The role requires a high level of initiative, excellent communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree. Proficiency in Japanese is a must, with a preference for candidates who have experience in data platforms, data pipelines, and a background in medical data standards. Experience in security, data governance, and with medical AI or healthcare domains is also highly valued.
