Head of Fire Safety

The Company is seeking a Head of Fire Safety for the UK and Ireland. This senior leadership role is pivotal in taking ownership of the fire safety strategy, governance, and assurance across a complex, multi-site portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping a compliant, resilient, and future-ready fire safety framework, acting as the designated "Competent Person" under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and ensuring that all fire safety legislative and regulatory requirements are met. Key responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of the fire safety strategy, establishing a robust governance and assurance framework, defining fire safety standards and policies, and providing expert technical support across high-risk and regulated environments. Applicants for the Head of Fire Safety position at the company should be experienced fire safety professionals with a strategic mindset, strong technical authority, and the ability to influence at an executive level. The role requires a candidate with a minimum of a Member grade membership in the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM), along with a recognized fire safety qualification. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading fire safety strategy, governance, and assurance frameworks, a strong working knowledge of UK and Irish fire legislation, and experience in operating as or supporting a "Competent Person" for fire safety. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to influence across all levels, and experience in working with regulators, insurers, and external bodies are also essential.
