Head of Regulatory Strategy & Public Policy (BioLNG & Biomethane)

The Company is seeking a Head of Regulatory Strategy and Public Policy with a focus on bioLNG and biomethane. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating European and national regulations into commercial strategies that maximize value in various markets. This role is pivotal in a pan-European platform that operates across industrial, mobility, and marine sectors, and requires a deep understanding of energy and low-carbon fuel regulations. The Head of Regulatory Strategy will be tasked with building and maintaining a regulatory value map, translating complex regulations into clear commercial guidance, and leading external engagement with policymakers and industry bodies. A strong commercial mindset, experience in related trading or origination environments, and the ability to work cross-functionally with legal, trading, operations, and commercial teams are essential. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record of identifying and prioritizing trading and structuring opportunities based on regulatory differences, as well as the ability to anticipate policy developments and convert them into actionable strategies. Key outputs include regulatory opportunity maps, value-stack analyses, and internal decision papers on evolving regulatory topics. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, be credible with senior stakeholders, and possess excellent communication skills for both internal and external engagement. Success in this role will be measured by the active use of regulatory insights by commercial teams, a clear internal understanding of key regulatory drivers, and a strong collaboration model with legal and compliance teams.
