Vice President, Head of Energy Trading

The Company is seeking a Vice President and Head of Energy Trading to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be tasked with defining and implementing the strategic vision for the energy trading and retail business in Japan. This pivotal role involves leading a team of 10 professionals, driving revenue growth, and ensuring that local operations are in sync with the global headquarters' strategies. Key responsibilities include providing visionary leadership, designing and refining energy trading strategies, cultivating strategic partnerships, maximizing portfolio valuation, and managing P&L in accordance with corporate governance. Applicants for this role at The Company should possess an expert understanding of power market dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and numerical analysis. Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and trading analytics tools. A proven track record in energy trading or retailing operations, particularly within power generation or trading companies, is highly preferred.
