Head of SHEQ

The Company is seeking a Head of SHEQ for the UK, Ireland, and Nordics region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing SHEQ strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence. This leadership role involves shaping the SHEQ strategy with group support, leading the SHEQ team, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. The Head of SHEQ will also be tasked with monitoring and analyzing SHEQ performance metrics, collaborating with operational teams to mitigate risks, overseeing audits and inspections, and driving initiatives to achieve sustainability and environmental compliance goals. Applicants for the Head of SHEQ position should have a proven track record in a leadership role within SHEQ, with a preference for experience in the transport and distribution industry. Strong knowledge of safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations and standards is essential, as is the ability to lead teams and drive organizational change. The role requires exceptional communication, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to provide training and development to enhance SHEQ awareness. A relevant professional qualification in SHEQ or related fields is also necessary, along with experience in developing and implementing strategic SHEQ initiatives.
