Vice President of Engineering Greater Budapest, Hungary Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to play a pivotal role in scaling its fast-growing AI platform. The successful candidate will work closely with the CTO and founders to define and execute the long-term engineering strategy, lead and mentor engineering managers, and build a high-performing engineering organization. This strategic leadership position requires a hands-on approach to shaping how engineering operates, with a focus on introducing pragmatic, high-impact improvements that align with the business and culture. The role also involves leading large cross-functional technical initiatives, creating alignment across engineering, and championing engineering excellence in all aspects, including architecture, quality, security, and operational maturity. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in a senior engineering leadership role. A strong background in product-led B2B SaaS companies is essential, and experience in security, compliance, or enterprise software environments is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a history of improving engineering effectiveness, delivery predictability, and leading complex initiatives, as well as outstanding leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills. Technical credibility in modern cloud-native software organizations and an interest in AI technologies are also key requirements for this role. The VP of Engineering will be instrumental in building an AI-first B2B SaaS company and must be committed to creating a lasting organizational legacy through the development of systems, culture, and leadership practices that scale with the company.
