Interim Head of Finance Greater Tokyo, Japan Area

The Company is seeking a Head of Finance to oversee and direct the financial activities of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the General Manager with financial assessments and information to ensure that planning and budgeting activities align with corporate goals. This role involves managing a range of financial functions, including FP&A, accounting, controllership, demand planning, and AR management. The Head of Finance will also be a key member of the Japan Leadership Team and JAPAC Finance LT, participating in strategic decision-making and leading financial policy and strategy development. Applicants for the Head of Finance position at the company should have a strong background in finance, with a minimum of 12 years' experience, including at least 5 years in senior roles. A successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in finance, such as a Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant certification, and an MBA is desirable. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in people management, strong business acumen, and strategic thinking skills. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is also desirable. The Head of Finance will be expected to have expert understanding of financial reports, budgets, and sales forecasts, as well as high levels of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail. Professional communication skills in both Japanese and English are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
