The Company is seeking a VP, International Financial Reporting Manager to join their global financial reporting organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements in both Japanese and English, under various local GAAPs, and US GAAP. This role involves significant cross-border exposure and the opportunity to work closely with teams in the US, UK, India, Australia, and Singapore. The VP will also be involved in shaping the adoption of AI tools within the global statutory and regulatory reporting function, as well as coordinating with external auditors, and ensuring compliance with international financial reporting practices. Applicants must be Certified Accountants with a minimum of 6 years' work experience, including at least 3 years' post-qualification. The role requires a native Japanese speaker with fluent English, excellent Excel skills, and a strong background in financial statement preparation and regulatory financial returns. Experience in a top-tier accounting firm, the financial services industry, and knowledge of AI tools are considered advantageous. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a desire to understand the business beyond just the numbers. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential.
