Head of Mechanical Design

The Company is in search of a Head of Mechanical Design to lead its international projects in machine tool manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of the mechanical design department, overseeing the development, testing, and release of high-quality, production-ready designs. This role requires a leader with a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, particularly in the areas of machine tools, modernizations, and special-purpose machine construction. The Head of Mechanical Design will also be tasked with developing innovative concepts for standardization, cost optimization, and the further development of existing machine and assembly concepts. Applicants for the Head of Mechanical Design position at the company should have a completed technical education in mechanical engineering and several years of experience in mechanical design, with a preference for those with a background in toolmaking or special-purpose machine construction. The role demands a candidate with experience in personnel management, planning, and prioritizing technical resources, as well as a sound knowledge of 3D design, preferably SolidWorks, and a strong understanding of design for manufacturability. The ideal candidate will be a structured, solution-oriented individual with a high awareness of quality, costs, and deadlines, and a service-oriented yet professional demeanor. Good English skills, a willingness to travel internationally, and a Class B driver's license are also required.
