The Company is in search of a President to lead its mission-driven organization. The successful candidate will be a strategic visionary, responsible for articulating and driving the organization's goals with a steadfast commitment to its mission. This role requires a proven track record in fundraising, with the ability to secure significant resources from diverse sources and navigate a challenging funding landscape. The President will also be an authentic relationship builder, working across the political spectrum to build support and legislative sponsorship. As the chief external ambassador, the President will guide the organization's advocacy and policy efforts, ensuring that its ambitious goals are met while upholding the values of integrity, transparency, and ethics. Candidates for the President position at the company should be emotionally intelligent leaders, capable of mentoring and empowering a high-performing team. The role demands a strategic nonprofit operator with strong business acumen, adept at managing complex organizations and ensuring financial sustainability. A deep understanding of the environmental, energy, land, and water issues affecting the region is essential, as is the ability to cultivate relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Tribal Nations, government agencies, and the private sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work with a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors and to advance shared goals with stakeholders across diverse cultural, regional, economic, and political perspectives. Experience in media relations and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging are also highly valued.
