Vice President, Originations & Portfolio Management

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Originations and Portfolio Management to lead the expansion of its private lending business in the Portland, ME market. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and underwriting new loan opportunities, managing the existing and growing portfolio, and deepening relationships within the borrower network. This role requires a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent market knowledge and a strong network in the Portland, ME MSA, and a preference for experience in lending to multifamily products. The VP will also be involved in asset management, market analytics, and will work closely with the firm's construction inspector and internal accounting team to manage the construction draw process. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial real estate banking or private lending, with a proven track record in financial modeling and underwriting, including structured debt and preferred equity analyses. The role demands a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are essential. The VP will be expected to travel to the company's main office in Quincy, MA, on a quarterly basis and must be prepared to engage in the challenges and opportunities of business growth.
