About the Role
Greater Indianapolis, IN Area
The Company is in search of an experienced and strategic patent attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive global patent strategies for key pharmaceutical assets. This includes the full spectrum of activities from patent application filing to assessing freedom to operate. The role demands a proactive approach to analyzing IP risks and providing sound strategic and tactical solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree, at least ten years of post-JD experience in patent law, and a strong background in the scientific aspects of pharmaceutical product development. Applicants for this role at the company should be highly motivated, collaborative, and possess exceptional patent law acumen. The position requires the ability to lead and manage projects, contribute to the implementation of new policies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The candidate must be a licensed patent attorney in the US and have a scientific background that enables effective communication with technical teams. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in drug discovery or development, is highly valued. The role also demands a candidate with a proven track record of leadership, the ability to influence and lead in a dynamic environment, and a commitment to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
