Head of Governance & Compliance

The Company is seeking a Head of Governance and Compliance to provide immediate operational leadership and stability within its established governance function. This role is pivotal in ensuring the day-to-day management of the governance and compliance program, including leading a team, managing external suppliers, and maintaining and enhancing policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. The successful candidate will be expected to be hands-on, working across multiple priorities, managing stakeholders, and ensuring that key governance activities continue to operate effectively. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing governance, compliance, audit, or operational assurance programs, with a strong ability to understand complex operational environments and make sound decisions. Experience in a regulated environment, particularly within the automotive, vehicle finance, fleet, transport, or financial services sectors, is highly advantageous. The role requires a pragmatic manager with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to operational delivery. The Head of Governance and Compliance will also be responsible for producing management information, monitoring program performance, and supporting operational improvements and ongoing governance initiatives.
