Interim Executive Director, Contemporary Art & Cultural Sector

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to spearhead the establishment and leadership of a social impact initiative for a newly formed public-benefit organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and operating the organization, with a focus on expanding access to arts and education, delivering community programming, and supporting cultural, tourism, and economic development objectives. This role is highly operational and requires close collaboration with the Board of Directors, government agencies, community partners, and external advisors to establish governance, financial management, and operational infrastructure. The Executive Director will also be tasked with ensuring the successful delivery of publicly funded programs and compliance with all funding requirements. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include organizational leadership, program delivery, governance, financial management, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and significant leadership experience in a nonprofit, public-benefit, or mission-driven organization, preferably in the cultural or arts sector. Strong operational, governance, and financial management skills are essential, as is experience in managing public funding, grants, or government-funded programs. The role demands a practical, entrepreneurial leadership style with a strong focus on execution and delivery, and a commitment to expanding public access to arts, education, and culture. Excellent stakeholder management skills across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors are also required.
