Head of Software Architecture, Embodied AI Platform

The Company is seeking a Head of Software Architecture for its Embodied AI Platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the end-to-end software architecture, including cloud infrastructure, robotics connectivity, AI systems, fleet management, data pipelines, and frontend applications. This role demands a hands-on approach to design scalable distributed systems, architect communication between edge devices and cloud infrastructure, and build highly reliable SaaS infrastructure. The Head of Software Architecture will also be instrumental in driving technical direction, establishing engineering standards, and mentoring a high-performing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in distributed systems architecture, SaaS platforms, and a proven track record of technical leadership in a startup or growth-stage environment. Candidates for the Head of Software Architecture position should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a preference for those from top technical universities or with exceptional engineering accomplishments. The role requires a deep understanding of IoT, edge computing, and robotics platforms, as well as experience with AI agents, LLMs, and multi-agent systems. The candidate must possess outstanding systems thinking, strong technical leadership, and a high level of engineering ownership. A passion for robotics, AI, and distributed systems, along with a startup mindset and a continuous learner attitude, is essential. The Head of Software Architecture will work closely with the CTO, research scientists, and product leadership to define the long-term technical strategy and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of embodied AI.
