Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all group accounting activities, including financial close processes, consolidated accounting, and group reporting. This role also involves overseeing statutory disclosures, managing external auditor relationships, and providing guidance on complex technical accounting matters. The Head of Accounting will be instrumental in improving accounting processes, internal controls, and financial systems, as well as building and mentoring a high-performing accounting team. Additionally, the role requires support for J-SOX readiness in anticipation of a potential listing. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a strong background in accounting, with experience in owning statutory disclosure documents and managing external audits. Proficiency in JGAAP and a fluent level of Japanese are essential, with English proficiency being a plus. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in team development, experience in a listed or pre-IPO company, and prior involvement in an IPO. A valid CPA, JICPA, or equivalent qualification is also preferred. The role demands a strategic leader who can drive the accounting function in a dynamic and growing organization.
