Head of Operations

The Company is seeking a Head of Operations to spearhead the management of operational functions, with a focus on material management, logistics, customer service, performance optimization, and team development. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a range of activities, including material management, yard operations, customer service, order management, site supervision, and freight management. A key aspect of the role is driving operational and material KPIs, profitability, efficiency, and cost optimization. The Head of Operations will also be tasked with implementing and enhancing various processes, integrating operational and material planning with financial planning, and managing material quality and strategic improvement initiatives. Applicants for the Head of Operations position at the company should hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in business management, general management, or operations/logistics, with more than 5 years' experience in operational or logistics roles. Experience in a construction services environment is a plus. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in leadership, people development, and a deep understanding of business models, operational procedures, and market approaches. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, knowledge of relevant systems, and a valid health and safety qualification are also essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent management, intercultural, and social skills, and be fluent in both English and Japanese.
