Vice President, Investment, Data Centre Greater Tokyo, Japan Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Investment in Data Centers, with a primary focus on the Group's data center investment activities in Japan. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining business relationships within the data center space, including with hyperscale end-users, DC operators, local authorities, utilities, and supply chains. This role involves regular market engagement to update on hyperscale end-user demand, as well as leveraging knowledge of the data center development cycle to identify and filter investment opportunities. The VP will also be involved in the end-to-end investment process, from origination to execution, and will be expected to manage investment transactions, conduct due diligence, and work closely with both local and international stakeholders. Applicants must have a degree in a relevant discipline and at least 10 years' of experience in real estate investments, with a specific focus on data center investments in Japan. Strong financial acumen, including the ability to build and review financial models, and experience in site selection and business development within the data center sector are essential. The role requires a high level of initiative, independence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in financial modeling, a keen analytical mind, and good communication skills in English are also necessary. The VP will be expected to work closely with the data center team in Japan and the wider group of colleagues, particularly those based in the Singapore headquarters.
