Head of Tax

The Company is seeking a Head of Tax to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accurate tax calculations, preparing tax returns, and ensuring full tax compliance for the country. This role involves serving as the primary contact for local tax authorities, assessing complex tax issues, and aligning global initiatives with local tax legislation. The Head of Tax will also be tasked with coordinating transfer pricing documentation, driving automation and optimization of tax processes, and leading a tax team across the Baltic states. Collaboration with the global tax team and the development of tax-efficient strategies and solutions are key aspects of the position. Applicants for the Head of Tax role at the company should have a higher education in finance, tax, accounting, or economics, with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. A strong understanding of local tax and accounting legislation is essential, and knowledge of SAP is an advantage. The role requires a good command of English, with German language skills being a plus, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as a leader of a cross-border team. Strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to train and advise colleagues on tax matters are also necessary.
