The Company is seeking a VP, Public Affairs for the Mid-Atlantic States Market. This senior leadership role is pivotal in advancing and protecting the company's reputation, mission, and business objectives through a wide range of public affairs activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrated communications, media relations, community affairs, stakeholder engagement, local government relations, executive positioning, and issues management. As the primary public affairs advisor to market leadership, the VP will ensure that enterprise public affairs priorities are effectively translated into market strategies and that local market realities inform enterprise decision-making. The role also involves leading a public affairs team, coordinating activities across various functions, and maintaining strong relationships with local media and key stakeholders. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in public affairs or related disciplines, with a Bachelor's degree required and an advanced degree preferred. The role demands a strategic leader with a proven track record in integrated public affairs functions, a deep understanding of healthcare delivery systems, and experience in highly regulated industries, particularly in healthcare. The VP will be expected to balance enterprise consistency with market relevance, operate as both a strategic counselor and operational leader, and ensure a visible, trusted presence in the communities served. Essential skills include the ability to advise senior leaders, lead through influence, and build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. The position requires a leader who can foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the public affairs team.
