The Company is seeking an AVP for its North American Programs Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting a portion of the program P&C business, ensuring that profitability, expense, and premium growth goals are met. This role involves the core underwriting functions of managing the program, including underwriting referrals, pricing analysis, and relationship management with the program administrator. The AVP will also be involved in marketing and business development, attending client and broker meetings, and assisting in the vetting of new program opportunities. Professional development is a key aspect of the role, and the AVP is expected to stay current with industry issues, attend training sessions, and provide specific reports as needed. Applicants for the AVP position should have a college degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of underwriting experience. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a candidate who is proactive, can think critically, and is willing to challenge and be challenged in their ideas. The AVP will also be expected to travel and must be adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities.
