The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President in Data Science to join their team. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of strengthening business analytics capabilities to support investment decision-making, portfolio analysis, risk management, and operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in leading the development, design, and integration of business analytics and investment technology solutions. The AVP will be responsible for connecting investment business needs with technology delivery, applying expertise in financial instrument pricing, financial modeling, and market risk analytics, and providing technical leadership across solution design and software engineering. The role also involves industrializing and extending business analytics applications, establishing effective operating models, and promoting high standards of code quality and operational resilience. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' of relevant experience in asset management, investment banking, financial technology, market risk, quantitative finance, or a related field, and a degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline. Strong skills in financial instrument pricing, quantitative investment models, software engineering (C#, C++ or Python), and experience in delivering technology solutions across the full lifecycle are essential. The role requires a deep understanding of market-risk analytics, investment constraints, and experience in integrating data science, machine learning, or AI models into production platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work with senior stakeholders, and provide technical leadership across distributed teams.
