The Company is in search of a Head of R&D for high-precision machines and systems. This pivotal role involves leading a large R&D organization and driving its evolution towards a more mechatronic, collaborative, and product-oriented structure. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and managing the R&D roadmap, from concept to industrialization, and will play a key part in the development of new methodologies, particularly in the areas of digitalization, data, and artificial intelligence. The role also requires a strong focus on strengthening interactions with sales, manufacturing, and operations, as well as representing R&D on the management committee and contributing to the strategic direction of the company. Applicants for the Head of R&D position at the company should hold an advanced degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics, or a related field, and have a minimum of 8 years' experience in R&D or product development, preferably in a complex industrial environment. The role demands a proven track record in managing multidisciplinary technical teams, a good understanding of the interplay between mechanics, electrical/automation, and software, and the ability to foster a collaborative dynamic and support change. An interest in digitalization, data, and AI as applied to product development is also essential. The ideal candidate will be fluent in French, with a very good level of English, and German language skills being a plus.
