Executive Director, The LEAH Project
About the Role
Greater Boston, MA Area (Hybrid - Headquarter location)
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its LEAH Project, a program dedicated to empowering and diversifying the next generation of STEM leaders. The successful candidate will be a visionary and entrepreneurial leader, responsible for the strategic growth, sustainability, and impact of the program. This role demands a proven track record in fundraising, with a focus on diversifying revenue streams and building partnerships to support the program's expansion. The Executive Director will work closely with the team to ensure the continued excellence of the youth development and educational programs, with a strong commitment to racial equity and positive youth development principles. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, managing an annual operating budget, and leading a team to meet programmatic goals. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' of leadership experience in related fields, a strong understanding of youth development and STEM pathways, and a passion for the emerging sectors of climate resilience and clean energy. They should be adept at building and managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, from major donors to community leaders, and be prepared to serve as the chief ambassador for the program. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree or equivalent experience welcomed, and candidates whose lived experiences reflect those of the communities served by the program are strongly encouraged to apply.
