The Company is in search of an Executive Director to be the primary representative and advocate for the lodging and tourism industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing both strategic and operational leadership, with a focus on advocacy, membership engagement, communications, partnerships, events, and financial stewardship. This role demands a dynamic individual with a strong network and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including government leaders, policymakers, media, businesses, and the community. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in workforce development, education, scholarships, and community initiatives, and must have a proven track record in building coalitions, influencing policy, and leading organizations through change. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a background in tourism, hospitality, business, public affairs, or government relations, and possess strong relationships within the industry. The role requires a leader who can elevate the impact of the association and strengthen collaboration across the visitor industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of overseeing the organization's strategy and ensuring its financial health. A key aspect of the job is to be the leading voice for the industry, so excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the association with authority and credibility are essential. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors and must be adept at managing a team and driving the organization towards its goals.
