The Company is seeking a Head of Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the accounting and financial operations for a national account, overseeing month-end close activities, and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of Trial Balance outputs and supporting schedules. This role involves preparing and posting routine journals, performing reconciliations, and managing client queries related to reconciled balances and month-end positions. The Head of Finance will also be instrumental in supporting process improvements, audit requirements, and interface controls between sub-ledger and GL, as well as managing, training, and coaching finance staff. Applicants for the Head of Finance position at the company should be qualified accountants (ACCA/CPA/CMA or equivalent) with a strong background in finance. A proven track record in delivering TB outputs and management accounts in a BAU close environment is essential, as is expertise in journals, reconciliations, and root cause analysis. Experience with sub-ledger to GL operating models and advanced Excel skills are also required. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an organized approach, and experience in high-volume finance environments. Familiarity with life and pensions transaction flows and system changes, as well as knowledge of Oracle Financial applications, is a plus.
