Assistant General Counsel

Greater Los Angeles, CA Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to provide expert legal support for its consumer platforms and services and networks divisions. The successful candidate will be a key legal advisor on a wide range of matters, including product, advertising, technology, and distribution. This role involves leading the legal aspects of new initiatives across digital platforms and streaming services, as well as shaping legal strategy in these areas. The Assistant General Counsel will also be responsible for structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex agreements, providing product counseling, and managing legal and business risks. Applicants must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, be an active member of the California State Bar or eligible for in-house counsel registration, and have at least ten years of relevant experience, with a preference for those with in-house experience. The role requires a strong background in product counseling, technology transactions, ad tech, digital advertising, privacy, commercial transactions, licensing, intellectual property, and regulatory affairs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading negotiations, setting legal strategy, and exercising independent judgment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills are essential, as is a strong understanding of the evolving landscape of entertainment content consumption.
