The Company is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to join its dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor on a wide range of legal and compliance matters, partnering closely with senior management to support the organization's mission. This role involves leading a team of legal professionals, overseeing day-to-day legal operations, and managing legal services related to various business transactions, including those with government agencies. The Deputy General Counsel will also be responsible for assessing and managing legal risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mentoring the legal team. Experience in areas such as AI, data privacy, and cybersecurity is a plus, and the role requires the ability to travel and a strong commitment to the values of the organization. Applicants for the Deputy General Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school, a minimum of 10 years' legal experience, and a strong background in leading and managing a legal team. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in legal operations, particularly in the context of business transactions with government entities. Knowledge of federal contract laws and experience in areas such as employment law, intellectual property, and technology transfer is highly valued.
