Head of Engineering, Maintenance & Utilities

The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the engineering function at its manufacturing and R&D site. The successful candidate will be responsible for plant maintenance, utilities operations and maintenance, and engineering projects, with a focus on ensuring high equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, cost control, and safe operations. This role is pivotal in supporting production and R&D objectives, and the Head of Engineering will be accountable for the effective implementation of maintenance systems, facility upkeep, and the management of engineering and utility budgets. Key responsibilities also include driving energy efficiency initiatives, overseeing O&M of utilities, and leading a team of engineers, technicians, and other staff. Candidates for the Head of Engineering position should have a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 15 years' experience in maintenance and engineering projects, preferably in the chemical, pharma, or process manufacturing industry. The role requires a strong background in utilities management, CapEx management, and statutory compliance, as well as proven leadership skills in managing cross-functional engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of various engineering systems and equipment, be adept at project management, and have a track record of successful and timely project execution. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and a commitment to safety and quality are essential for this role.
