The Company is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to provide expert legal counsel and supervision to its legal division. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal functions, including but not limited to, managing and supervising the legal team, overseeing litigation, contract review, and various legal matters related to the agency's operations. The Deputy General Counsel will also be involved in the development of legal strategy and policy, and will be expected to have a comprehensive knowledge of state and federal tax laws, constitutional law, and the Oklahoma constitution. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and critical thinking skills are essential for this role. Applicants for the Deputy General Counsel position at the company must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, be licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma, and be an active member of the State Bar of Oklahoma. A minimum of 8 years' of legal experience, with at least 10 years' in tax law, supervision, or litigation, is required. The role demands a candidate with the ability to manage personnel, meet deadlines, and represent the agency with professionalism and integrity. The Deputy General Counsel will be expected to have a strong background in legal research, case preparation, and the ability to analyze and apply complex legal issues. A preference will be given to candidates with an advanced degree in taxation or a related field, and specialized expertise in tax law.
