The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and mitigating geopolitical, macroeconomic, and sovereign risks that may impact the quality of the country credit portfolio. This role involves scanning macro trends, proactively analyzing risk profiles, and presenting recommendations for country limit actions to senior management. The candidate will also be involved in running internal rating models, engaging with various stakeholders, and contributing to the enhancement of country risk management standards and methodologies. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in country risk or credit risk management, with a strong track record of collaboration. A good understanding of country and macroeconomic risk, as well as the contagion impact on the portfolio, is essential. The role requires a proactive risk mindset, the ability to respond to evolving macroeconomic events, and familiarity with technology, including Gen AI, to create efficient operational processes. Leadership skills and knowledge of financial regulations in key markets, particularly Singapore, are also necessary. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, finance, business, or related fields is required.
