The Company is in search of an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its leadership team. The CFO will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of the organization, improving financial visibility, managing risk, and providing the necessary financial insight for sound business decisions. This hands-on leadership position is ideal for a construction finance professional with a deep understanding of the unique aspects of construction accounting. Key responsibilities for the CFO include leading all accounting and financial reporting functions, managing construction accounting, job costing, and WIP, overseeing project forecasting and profitability, and leading the annual budgeting and cash flow management processes. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining external financial relationships and leading the accounting team. The ideal CFO for the company will have a minimum of 8 years' of progressive accounting or financial leadership experience in the construction industry, with a strong knowledge of construction accounting practices. Experience in project forecasting, cost-to-complete reporting, and financial management within a commercial construction environment is essential. The role requires a candidate with a hands-on, collaborative approach, strong business judgment, and the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial leaders. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, and the candidate should have a proven track record of working with banks, sureties, insurance providers, and outside CPA firms. Strong Excel and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, are also necessary for this position.
