Vice President, Accounting & Corporate Controller

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Accounting & Corporate Controller to lead its financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing all enterprise accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reports, and leading the allowance for credit losses framework. This role demands a leader with deep technical accounting expertise, a strong command of U.S. GAAP, and experience in financial institution accounting and regulatory compliance standards. The VP will also be tasked with managing accounting and consolidation activities across various entities, strengthening the internal control environment, and providing senior-level guidance on complex financial transactions. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, with an advanced degree preferred, and an active CPA designation. A minimum of 10 years' progressive accounting experience within a financial institution environment, including at least 5 years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in internal controls, financial reporting, and budget-related processes, as well as experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting. Experience supporting a financial institution of $10B+ in assets and operating under heightened regulatory expectations is strongly preferred. The role also involves overseeing tax-related obligations and other regulatory compliance requirements, and the VP will be expected to build and develop a high-performing accounting function through coaching, succession planning, and cross-training.
