Vice President of Engineering

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Engineering to take on a pivotal leadership role within its organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the engineering execution, technical direction, architecture, security, infrastructure, and team development of a mission-critical cloud platform. This role demands a highly visible leader who can guide an experienced, distributed engineering team while remaining technically engaged in architecture and production systems. The VP of Engineering will work closely with executive and product leadership to shape engineering strategy, establish investment priorities, and improve delivery predictability. Key responsibilities include engineering leadership and team development, architecture and platform strategy, engineering delivery and execution, security, compliance, and infrastructure, as well as executive and stakeholder partnership. Applicants for the VP of Engineering position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, and 2 years as the senior-most engineering leader. The role requires a candidate with a strong hands-on architecture background in cloud-native backend systems, deep understanding of relevant technologies, and proven experience in building and managing an effective engineering delivery system. Experience in security, compliance, and infrastructure, particularly within a regulated or security-sensitive environment, is essential. The ideal candidate will also have practical experience with AI-assisted development tools and a track record of success in hiring and retaining senior engineering talent. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required, with a preference for candidates with experience in regulated environments and modern data platforms.
