Vice President of Managed Care Contracting

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Managed Care Contracting to lead and direct all managed care contracting efforts on behalf of the organization. This senior-level position is pivotal in promoting the business initiatives related to managed care strategic development. The successful candidate will be responsible for all payer and direct employer contracting, including negotiation, implementation, and maintenance of contracts and policies. A hands-on approach is essential, as the role involves keeping abreast of marketplace activities and adjusting strategies accordingly. The Vice President will also provide consultative support to the executive team, manage governmental funding sources, and oversee key revenue enhancement efforts. Candidates for the Vice President of Managed Care Contracting role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and at least 5 years' experience in managed care contracting at a senior level, particularly in a mid to large size acute care hospital in California and a major health plan. The role requires extensive experience in performance and risk-based contracting, as well as in developing strategic plans to address regulatory affordability issues. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operationalizing commercial products in the service market for a health system and be adept at maintaining collaborative relationships with payers, employers, and the public.
