Head of IT Engineering, Data & AI

The Company is seeking a Head of IT Engineering, Data & AI to lead application engineering, data, and AI strategy for a complex, multi-site operation. The role serves as the primary technical authority for application assets, integrations, and data architecture, while providing hands-on support for core systems and platforms. Responsibilities include leading engineering teams and delivery practices, overseeing system testing and release management, and managing vendor relationships and outsourced technical work. The successful candidate will also establish AI and data governance, partner with security teams on compliance and cyber risk, and guide technical design, code reviews, and architectural approvals. Candidates should have extensive senior-level experience in application development and data-related fields, along with a strong record of leading Agile engineering teams and delivery transformations. Deep knowledge of modern programming languages, frameworks, architectural patterns, AI/ML integration, API management, and enterprise data platforms is required. Applicants should also understand data governance, cybersecurity, and compliance, and bring experience managing vendors, contracts, and service performance. Strong strategic leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills are essential; relevant certifications in cloud, Agile, or DevOps are desirable, along with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and ITIL knowledge.
