Executive Director of Human Resources Greater Cape Girardeau, MO Area

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Human Resources to lead its HR strategy and operations, aligning workforce priorities with organizational goals and colleague experience. The role oversees colleague relations, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, performance management, workforce planning, and HR information systems. The Executive Director advises and supports leaders on people matters, strengthens leadership capability, and promotes clear expectations, consistent accountability, and respectful workplace practices. Responsibilities also include ensuring effective controls and disciplined execution while preserving the independent authority of legal and compliance functions. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field; a related master’s degree is preferred. At least seven years of progressive HR experience, including five years in a leadership role overseeing teams, programs, or multiple HR functions, is required. Experience directing multiple HR disciplines is essential, while experience in healthcare or another highly regulated industry and partnering with senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational change, and complex employee matters is preferred. SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification is also preferred.
