Executive Director of Recruitment, Selection & Retention

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Recruitment, Selection & Retention to lead strategies for attracting, selecting, and retaining high-quality educators and staff. Responsibilities include managing and evaluating recruitment staff, building candidate referral partnerships, overseeing the full hiring process, and ensuring a smooth transition into onboarding. The role will represent the organization at recruitment events, collaborate with school leaders and human resources colleagues, and develop systems to track candidate screening and recruitment outcomes. The Executive Director will assess the effectiveness and diversity of candidate pools, guide continuous improvement, and oversee educator effectiveness work. Candidates should have a master’s degree in education or a related field, at least five years of educational leadership experience, and the required state school district administrator or school district leader certification. Strong knowledge of recruitment and retention, human resources practices and applicable employment regulations is essential, along with experience supervising and evaluating staff. The role calls for strategic planning, project management, effective communication, and the ability to build relationships and lead diverse groups toward shared goals. A growth mindset and commitment to equitable student outcomes are required; district-level human resources experience, culturally relevant education training, and a record of diversity-focused recruitment and retention are preferred.
