Head of Logistics & Fleet

The Company is seeking a Head of Logistics and Fleet to take on a newly created role with a clear mandate to enhance the efficiency and profitability of the logistics and distribution operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the logistics and distribution strategy, designing the new organization that combines fleet, transport, and warehousing, and running make-or-buy analyses for optimal cost management. This role involves managing a large fleet of over 600 vehicles, including sales cars, delivery vans, and heavy trucks, and owning the total cost of the fleet. The Head of Logistics and Fleet will also be tasked with securing and optimizing transport flows, leading route optimization, and ensuring cold chain integrity. Safety, compliance, and quality standards, particularly in relation to food safety and hygiene, are of utmost importance. Candidates for this position should have a solid background in managing large fleets and logistics operations, with a proven track record of cost reduction and efficiency gains. Experience in production and distribution, FMCG distribution, logistics platforms, 3PL, or transport companies is essential. The role requires a hands-on approach to logistics KPIs, route optimization, and fleet cost control, as well as experience in implementing or working with logistics software. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of driving change within an experienced team, and must be based in or willing to relocate to the area.
