Dean, School of Applied Technology & AI

The Company is seeking a Dean to set the academic direction of its School of Applied Technology and AI and lead strategic curriculum transformation. The role focuses on developing relevant, workplace-oriented programmes and improving teaching, assessment, and student support to strengthen student continuation, completion, and progression. The Dean will guide the use of AI in both academic study and educational practice, support authentic assessment, and build external partnerships that connect provision with professional needs. They will also oversee academic performance and quality, making effective decisions about programmes, partnerships, and resources while supporting sustainable growth. Candidates should be academically credible leaders in computing, AI, or a related discipline, with a record of leading curriculum change and improving student outcomes. They should bring informed judgement about AI’s opportunities and limitations, alongside the ability to distinguish effective approaches and help colleagues implement them. The role requires commercial awareness, strategic decision-making, and the ability to lead in a changing environment while keeping students’ learning and future prospects central.
