Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety Greater Houston, TX Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety to lead enterprise-wide safety and environmental performance across multiple business units. The role sets the organization’s EH&S strategy, oversees programs and regulatory compliance, manages departmental resources, and advises executive leadership on performance and risk. Responsibilities include building a proactive safety culture, leading and developing EH&S teams, implementing training and audit-based improvements, and overseeing incident management, workers’ compensation risk, and regulatory reporting. The VP will also guide safety due diligence and integration for acquisitions and establish performance goals and systems that support continuous improvement. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, or a related field, and a Certified Safety Professional credential or equivalent; a master’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health is preferred. At least 15 years of progressive safety experience in construction, utilities, mining, or multi-site manufacturing is required, including senior leadership of a multi-site EH&S organization. Experience managing workers’ compensation matters, budgets, cross-functional teams, and executive or board presentations is essential. Strong strategic leadership, communication, analytical, mentoring, and relationship-building skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of safety culture assessment and benchmarking.
