Executive Director of Evidence

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Evidence to shape organizational strategy and lead its evidence team. The role oversees a portfolio of research, evaluation, and evidence synthesis, ensuring work is rigorous, high-quality, and impactful. The successful candidate will build relationships across government, academia, and the wider sector, helping address evidence gaps and translate research into improvements in policy and practice. They will also explore responsible ways to use emerging technologies to strengthen research and evidence generation. Candidates should bring strategic leadership experience, including shaping organizational strategy, leading teams, and supporting long-term sustainability. Strong expertise in research methodologies, evaluation, and evidence synthesis is required, along with the ability to influence policy and practice and build effective partnerships with senior stakeholders. The role calls for collaborative, inclusive leadership and a commitment to research standards, good governance, financial stewardship, and equitable outcomes for children and families. A relevant postgraduate qualification is desirable; equivalent experience will also be considered.
