Managing Director

The Company is seeking a Managing Director to provide strategic leadership and guide its next phase of growth and impact. Reporting to the board, the role will set strategic direction, ensure strong governance and financial sustainability, and lead the delivery of organizational strategy. Responsibilities include strengthening and diversifying income, raising the organization’s profile, building partnerships, and ensuring high-quality, person-centered support. The Managing Director will also oversee organizational performance and foster lasting relationships with staff, beneficiaries, trustees, funders, employers, and sector leaders. Candidates should bring significant senior leadership experience spanning strategy, people, finance, operations, and performance. A strong record of driving growth and sustainability, leading through change, securing income, and developing partnerships is essential. The role requires excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, along with expertise in governance, financial oversight, and risk management, including experience working with a board or other governing body. A visible, values-led leadership style and the ability to inspire teams, build organizational capability, and foster an accountable culture are also important.
