Head of Finance

The Company is seeking a commercially minded Head of Finance to lead its finance function and provide strategic financial insight. Responsibilities include maintaining strong financial controls, overseeing finance operations, systems, compliance, and risk management, and monitoring rent, service charge, and tax compliance. The role leads statutory reporting, annual accounts, regulatory returns, and external audits, while directing budgeting and forecasting to support organizational planning and decision-making. The Head of Finance will also develop and support a high-performing team, improve processes, and promote customer focus and effective use of financial data. Candidates should be qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong knowledge of finance business partnering and reporting. They should have experience leading finance teams in complex organizations and expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management. Experience preparing statutory accounts, managing external audits, and meeting regulatory requirements is essential. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills are required; experience in social housing or a similarly regulated sector is desirable.
