Head of Payroll, UK Services Lead

The Company is seeking a Head of Payroll to lead UK payroll services and local delivery. Responsibilities include managing team performance and resource allocation, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations, and monitoring service levels while resolving escalations and driving continuous improvement. The role also oversees payroll provider relationships, supports audits, year-end activities, and regulatory reporting, and maintains payroll continuity through organizational changes. The successful candidate will manage stakeholder relationships and lead projects such as acquisitions and divestments. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in people and culture delivery or shared services, along with 10 years of programme management experience. A proven record of building and leading a shared service centre and managing third-party vendors is required; global payroll exposure is beneficial. Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to connect service value to business results are important.
