Head of Procurement

The Company is seeking a Head of Procurement to develop and deliver procurement strategy across a large, multi-site education organization. The role will identify solutions that generate measurable savings and improve service quality, oversee significant tendering activity, and ensure compliance with public-sector procurement requirements. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships and preferred-supplier frameworks, advising school and central leadership, and monitoring procurement performance for senior leaders and governance committees. The Head of Procurement will also lead and develop the procurement team, drive transformation, and build strong stakeholder relationships across the education sector. Candidates should bring significant procurement leadership experience, ideally in education, the public or charity sector, or another complex multi-site organization. A strong record of delivering commercial value, cost savings, and procurement transformation is required, along with extensive tendering and contract negotiation experience. The role also calls for expertise in supplier and contract management, team leadership, and influencing senior stakeholders. An MCIPS qualification, degree-level education, or equivalent professional experience is advantageous.
